Tiny urban courtyard, Kent – in progress
This project is still in the planning stage. A 5 metre square courtyard, which currently feels cluttered and drab, will be transformed into a modern living area – an ‘outside room’. Bespoke hardwood furniture with integrated storage will ensure that space is maximised, and atmospheric lighting will enable the garden to be viewed and enjoyed after dark. Use of sawn–sandstone for both the paving and the walls of raised beds will achieve clean lines and uniformity throughout the garden, also helping it to feel more spacious.
